Hugh, please correct me if I have this wrong, but regarding Zac’s question about how to upload animation as an asset: You have to select an asset, as Hugh outlines below, to get a rig. Once you have that rig, you animate it, and that animated rig (FBX) is the asset you upload.

If you do not have an asset on your profile page, then that means that you have not clicked the "start button" to begin the asset for theBlu. You need to do the following steps:
===================================================================

===================================================================

===================================================================

===================================================================

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me directly.
Thanks!

Hey Josh,
You are correct in that if a student is just animating an asset, they must select which asset to animate, rig it (if no rig is provided), animate it, and then upload a zipped up .fbx file to the Maker website. You can upload edits/changes as many times as you want to the site.
Students/Makers do not have to use a provided template, if they do not want to though. This means that they can just press "Start" for an asset, and then upload their created content soon thereafter for whatever species they're creating.
If more clarification is needed on this, then please let me know and I'll be happy to help.
Your best bet, as I’ve said before on this forum, if you’re asking for urgent reviews, is to email Hugh directly and be nice to him – ie hope he’s sympathetic (since it’s not his problem if you’re in a hurry). hu...@wemomedia.com
Yes, many students have been steadily updating their work on theBlu, getting feedback, and have already done several rounds of revisions, at a leisurely pace, throughout the semester. On the other hand, many students have basicly ignored this component until now, and are now scrambling to get an asset slammed together, last-minute, during the busiest time of semester. Think about it from the reviewers’ perspective. How many people are uploading assets right now, frantically asking for critiques? 3 days is not unreasonable turnaround at all. That is why, in the beginning of semester, I suggested you not wait until the last minute, and spent a tutorial explaining how to use theBlu, making sure you got an account, chose an asset, and the corresponding homework required you to submit a revision to that asset.
