AssalaamuAlaikum Dear MCC/MEC Community,

We pray that you are all in wonderful health and Iman.

This Friday we have a blood drive at both the MCC and MEC masjid's.

Sadly we have ONLY 1 person who has registered to donate their blood.  

Each donation saves 3 lives and the American Red Cross reports 

shortage of blood this year.

So if you have some time between 12pm - 5pm this Friday June 29th, PLEASE

register.  In general the response from the Muslim community has been very underwhelming.

Let us show a strong response from our Masjid and show them that as Muslims

saving lives and donating is important for us as well.  I'm sure we all know someone 

whose needed blood or benefitted from blood when they were hospitalized and how that really

helped them, inshallah we'll be able to help others with ours.

or if you are not yet a donor, to set up your new Donor Profile.

Please eat a good meal and hydrate prior to donating.  Also,
bring your ID and allow at least 45 minutes for the donation
process (registration through refreshments).

Please bring ID with you on the day of the blood drive. Proper ID is required to donate blood. A LifeSource or military ID, driver’s license, or employee badge with picture and full name are all approved forms of ID. Birth certificate along with a picture ID that includes the donor full name will also be accepted.
