Morro Coast Audubon Society Presents

FIELD TRIP:       Atascadero Lake

DATE:                  Tuesday, March 7, 2023

TIME:                   9am to 11am

LEADER:            Claudia Freitas

CO-LEADER:     Karen Watts

Trip is limited to 12 - Signups will be taken for 24 hours. 12 participants will be randomly selected. The remainder will be put on standby status in case of cancellations.

Join leaders Claudia and Karen for this bird walk around Atascadero Lake which will be approximately one mile long, at a slow to moderate pace, depending on where and how often we’re seeing birds. The terrain is gentle, over flat surfaces. Expect to see numerous species in a variety of habitats, with likely sightings of: Red-shouldered Hawk, California Quail, California Scrub-Jay, Woodpeckers, and a variety of Waterfowl.

Bring hat, sunscreen, water and binoculars if you have them. Restrooms are available. Rain cancels.

ADA Accessible: Yes

Experience Level: Best suited for beginners and families are welcome, but all experience levels welcome.
