Friends,

If I understood correctly in the contact classes, the micro skills suggest that we need to maintain eye-to-eye contact (although not staring) when counseling.

My questions are:

1.  Which eye/direction do we look at to establish eye-to-eye contact with a client having strabismus (squint eyed) or convergence (inward movement of both eyes towards each other) ?

2.  Which eye/direction do we look to establish eye-to-eye contact with a client who might have diplopia (double vision) ?

Can anybody clarify this please ?

Balaji, sorry to answer your query so late. Actually eye contact means, to look in vicinity of eyes, forehead in total.
so even if a person has squint eye or double vision, looking softly in that vicinity should work.
I hope i was able to help you in some way.

Regards,
Anu
