A phone call to your Representative
this Thursday can make the difference for solar in
Massachusetts.
To keep Massachusetts a leader in solar
development, the Legislature must lift the net
metering cap in National Grid territory. Solar
projects this year have already stalled in 171
towns and cities across the Commonwealth - 38
within the MAPC region alone - due to the net
metering cap being reached. Unless we lift the
caps very soon, it's likely that many of those
solar projects, from town halls to school parking
lots, will never be built and we'll miss out on
all of the many environmental and economic
benefits that they would bring.
Proposals to lift the caps are gaining
momentum in the Legislature. This Thursday
- the Solar Day of Action - we're supporting
efforts to get community leaders and clean energy
supporters to call their legislators and urge them
to take immediate
action on solar.
We'll remind you to call on Thursday. Let's
keep solar growing for our cities, towns, and all
those who want to participate in a clean energy
future for Massachusetts!
