How to Install Software Remotely with EMCO Remote Installer Professional

If you need to install software on multiple computers across a network, you may find it tedious and time-consuming to do it manually. Fortunately, there is a tool that can help you automate this task and save you a lot of hassle. EMCO Remote Installer Professional is a powerful and easy-to-use network application that allows you to remotely install, uninstall, update and audit software on Windows PCs.

In this article, we will show you how to use EMCO Remote Installer Professional to install software remotely on your network computers. We will assume that you have already downloaded and installed the software on your own PC and that you have the license key for the Professional edition. If you don't have it yet, you can get it from here.

Step 1: Scan Your Network for Computers

The first step is to scan your network for computers that you want to install software on. To do this, launch EMCO Remote Installer Professional and click on the Scan Network button on the toolbar. You will see a dialog box where you can specify the IP range or domain name of your network. You can also use the Advanced Scan Options to filter out computers by name, OS, or other criteria. Click on the Start Scan button to begin the scanning process.

When the scan is completed, you will see a list of computers in the main window. You can select one or more computers by holding down the Ctrl or Shift key and clicking on them. You can also use the checkboxes on the left to select or deselect all computers.

Step 2: Create a Software Package

The next step is to create a software package that contains the installation files and settings for the software that you want to install remotely. To do this, click on the New Package button on the toolbar. You will see a dialog box where you can choose between creating a package from an MSI file or an EXE file. MSI files are preferred because they are easier to deploy and manage, but if your software only comes with an EXE file, you can still use it with some additional steps.

For this example, we will use an MSI file. Click on the Browse button and locate the MSI file on your computer. You can also enter a name and description for your package. Click on the Next button to continue.

On the next screen, you can specify some installation parameters for your package, such as whether to run it silently or with user interaction, whether to reboot after installation or not, and whether to install it for all users or only for the current user. You can also enter any command-line arguments that are supported by your MSI file. Click on the Next button to continue.

On the final screen, you can review your package settings and click on the Finish button to create your package. You will see your package in the Packages pane on the left side of the main window.

Step 3: Deploy Your Software Package

The last step is to deploy your software package to the selected computers on your network. To do this, select your package in the Packages pane and drag it to the Computers pane. You will see a dialog box where you can choose between installing or uninstalling your package. Choose Install and click on the OK button.

You will see a progress bar showing you the status of your deployment. You can also view more details by clicking on the View Log button. When the deployment is completed, you will see a message saying "Operation completed successfully". You can then close the dialog box and check your network computers for the installed software.

Conclusion

In this article, we have shown you how to use EMCO Remote Installer Professional to install software remotely on multiple computers across a network.
