Every nation has things the citizens can be proud of.Here are very few the things for which I'm proud.

1.The birthplace of a great many thinkers-Ashoka,Vivekananda,Chanakya(Who helped create first indian empire and his book "Arthasastra" is still a great reading for strategists and planners) and Aryabatta(one of the great mathematicians in India) and located near to Nepal(where the birthplace of Shakyamuni Buddha lies just 20 km away from indian border).

2.May 26 is celebrated as science Day in switzerland in honour of former president DR.APJ Abdul Kalam.because on the day,kalam visited the country.

3.Chess was invented in india.

4.Algebra,trigonomentry and calculus are studies,which originated in india.

5.India is the world largest democracy,with 1.2 billion people

6.Besides the US and Japan,India is only other country in the world to have indigenously built a super computer.

7.India never invaded any country in last 100000 years of history.

8.The indian national kabaddi team has won all world cups.

9.The largest employer in india is the indian railways,employing over a million people.

10.Until 1896,India was the only source of diamonds in the world.

11.India has the largest number of post offices in the world

12.The 2nd largest number of scientists and engineers in the world,are in india.

13.India exports softwares to 90 countries.

14.Having Prime minister as Narendra Damodardas Modi.
