Hi everyone, 

Samsung R&D Institute India, Bangalore is conducting its Pre-placement and Pre-internship Talk tomorrow morning at 9.30 AM - 10.30 AM in LHC 108. The speaker of the talk is Dr. Vikram Vij, Senior Vice President, SRIB and Head of Intelligence and IoT. He is also a distinguished IIT alumnus.

The theme of the talk is going to be:

1. IoT Recent trends and Development worldwide 

2. Application of Intelligence in IoT & Samsung advances in it

3. Other fields of work and projects undertaken at SRIB. 

4. Future of SRIB: Transition to an Advanced R&D Centre

5. Benefits of working with Samsung R & D Institute

We would like to start sharp at 9.30 AM. Hence, kindly be seated by 9.15 AM for the talk. The shortlist for those appearing for internship test today will also be released immediately afterwards and the further process explained in the talk. All PPOs candidates are also requested to be compulsorily present. 

About the speaker:

Dr. Vikram Vij is the Senior Vice President at Samsung R&D Institute India, Bangalore. He completed his Ph.D. and Master's degree from University of California, Berkeley in the field of Parallel Computing, after graduating from IIT Kanpur in Electronics and Communication, followed by an MBA degree from Santa Clara University. With over 25 years of experience in multiple technical domains from parallel databases, storage, file systems to embedded systems, he has been instrumental in making SRI-B as one of the leading R&D centre for Samsung Electronics in TV, LFD and Monitors. At SRI-B, he is the head of Intelligence & IoT division whose charter is to make World's Best Voice Services, Intelligent Cloud Based, Convergence in Car, Wearables & Home, World's most preferred Fitness Companion, Internet of Things(IoT) Centre of Excellence. His Hobbies and interests are jogging, walking, yoga and outdoor activities.
