Indian Road Safety Campaign , the road safety project of Solve, was started as a project under the IIT Delhi chapter of National Service Scheme, with the help of Transport Research and Injury Prevention Program over 4 years back and has now grown to be the largest youth led initiative in India with chapters across 500+ colleges with IIT Delhi chapter leading the national level operations. Currently active across 50+ cities, IRSC works actively with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, United Nations, AIIMS, WHO, Niti Aayog and Supreme Court etc across awareness, education, law, medicine, technical sectors to change the scenario of road safety in India.Come, join us in our mission to have safer India and learn a lot in the process.Being a part of the team, you will:
- Be developing a lot of personal skills like public speaking, event management, presenting, leading, etc.
- Lead all IRSC activities taking place throughout the year in collaboration and coordination with core team spread across DU, IIMs, IITs etc.
- Representing IRSC in front various meeting with the Corporates, Ministry, Government Bodies, etc.
- Impact millions throughout India!
IRSC invites applications for the IIT Delhi team for the year 2018 for the post of
i) Secretaryii) Executive
Work Domains:
- Internship Management -> Handle both research and policy internships in collaboration with various IIT's across India.
- CSR/ Publicity/ Outreach -> Handle and extend existing collaborations with corporates/colleges/organizations/govt bodies. Identify and execute new ways of awaring people.
- Technical Arm -> Lead the technical arm of IRSC. Get a chance to develop your own products, work on app/website/physical products to promote safety.
- Services Arm -> Lead and develop IRSC's services: AmbiVan and Safekart by collaborating with various agencies and associates to develop the services.
- Events -> Organize and lead awareness sessions (offline/online) across 50+ cities in collaboration with State Police and Ministry with help of city road warriors.
- Content Writing -> Write intriguing content that create deep long lasting impact to spread awareness about road safety.
- Graphic Designing and Video Editing-> Learn and make creative posters and make amazing videos to impact as many as people as possible
- Creative Team-> Get an opportunity to develop interesting videos or plays (stage/street) focused on various aspects of road safety.
You would get the opportunity to:
- Work with experts from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Delhi Traffic Police and IIT Delhi.
- You would also be provided Certificate from Indian Road Safety Campaign; TRIPP, IIT-Delhi and MoRTH on successful completion of the project.
- Team members that do considerable work can also avail NSS hours/NEN Credits.
