Many of these social studies concepts are really high level. I like
to find an easy book on a subject like the Bill of Rights or the
Constitution and type up the text in a 1 or 2 page article. This way
the students don't really view it as a "baby" book and the language is
easier to understand. These papers are great for guided reading
groups, or using with a graphic organizer for writing a non fiction
paragraph. This also works really well for science concepts.
