Hi (MC)^2!

Hope you all had a fun summer break. Mercer County Math Circle is back this year, and as usual it will be on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. The first math circle meeting of this year will be on Saturday, October 11, with the advanced session starting at 2pm, and the recreational session at 3:14 pm.

There will be no math circle meetings on December 27 or January 24.

Similar to before, the advanced sessions are designed for high school and advanced middle school students to hear talks on a wide range of topics outside the traditional school curriculum such as topology, number theory and combinatorics. The recreational sessions are designed for students in grades 6-12 who have a basic understanding of algebra. This series will integrate lectures with hands-on activities to illustrate how seemingly simple games and puzzles lay the foundation for many advanced topics in mathematics.

We will send out abstracts of the talks as the dates get closer. Please respond if you have any questions.

See you soon,
Ante Qu
