We are seeking MCVP applicants to consider a year on the MC of AIESEC Switzerland. This great opportunity allows you to push the organisation to new levels by working closely with the 8 LCs of this country. Along with this challenge, you will have the opportunity to live in "the heart of Europe".  Living in Switzerland: Living in Switzerland is easy‐going. The country is very safe, well organized (especially public transport), standards of living are relatively high and it’s a unique experience to live in a country both so small and so diverse (e.g. four official languages, cultural differences between geographically very close cities). At the same time, one gets to see the uniqueness of the Swiss political system, way of living and business culture.  Working for the Swiss MC: Working for the Swiss MC will give you a valuable professional experience, working with many different partners as well as having to follow the high professional standards of the country in order to be able to deliver results. You will work in a country with reasonable amount of resources (infrastructure, financial), which will enable you to focus on your objectives.  Work Environment: The AIESEC in Switzerland office has the necessary working infrastructure. Server, desk spaces, copy machine, fax, Internet, ADSL, Wi-Fi. Two big office rooms, one common room, one meeting room, one bedroom, two bathrooms, one fully equipped kitchen, two balconies. The office is a 10 min walk from the city center and the train station, well connected in terms of public transport, and is located in the administrative part of the city of Bern. Nearby, there are a fitness center, a pool, and a supermarket, as well as nice little places to eat or drink something, such as parks etc. MC members are required to bring their own laptops since it is not provided by AIESEC in Switzerland. There is a personal laptop depreciation, which will be provided at the end of the MC term.  Salary: MC members will also receive a monthly compensation for living expenses of 2010 CHF gross (about 1800 CHF net or 1450 Euros). This compensation is enough to live in Switzerland. There will be no salary for the transition month so candidates are required to have some savings to last them until they get their first salary at the end of August. Accommodation will be provided at the MC flat/office during transition. Accommodation: If you wish, there is the possibility to live in the “MC Flat”. The MC flatis situated 15 minutes walking distance/ 5 min by public transportation from the MC office and is quite cheap compared to average Swiss rents. The flat has space for 3 team members; you are free to choose whether you would like to live there or find a place on your own.  Transportation: Transportation within Switzerland and part of transport to international conferences will be covered by AIESEC in Switzerland.
