how much does it cost to print a gram of plastic?

Hey all i'm interested in using this to produce small items to sell for 25cents a piece and am wondering if it would be worth it considering the cost of plastic / printing medium.

can you guys give me a rough idea on cost?

You can weigh the whole spool, convert to grams, divide the price for the spool with that, get dollars per gram. Going to Amazon, a typical black spool is listed at 4lbs, that is about 1814 grams, and they are selling it for about $30. That comes out to $0.0165 per gram or about 2 cents per gram, rounding up.
