Brethren,

Happy May Day!  I have accumulated a few items of information to relay and requests to make.  Please take a minute to read the following 3 things:

1) This Saturday from 8:00-10am is the Stake Disaster drill.  We made assignments to most of the brethren present in priesthood last Sunday to go by 3-4 families on Saturday morning and tally responses to a questionnaire on financial preparedness.  The attachment to this email has: Page 1: the questionnaire to be given to each family to keep.  Page 2: a note to leave with the questionnaire if the family isn’t home.  Page 3: a tally sheet for you to record the number of yes’s and no’s you got on each question.  Please don't associate the family names with their answers so we can keep this semi-anonymous.  Since some of the questions are sensitive, if a family is uncomfortable with answering, feel free to hand them the questionnaire and say, "here are some questions that might be of interest to you..." and leave it at that.

2) Sadly the Marchants are moving this Summer, and Shawn sent me the following regarding their apartment:

"our apartment is available to rent in mid June. It's an 1100 sqft 2bdr 2ba unit with full-size w/d in unit and 2 secured parking spaces.  Rent will be $2,000 to $2,200 depending on whether they want the carpet replaced (probably not worth $200 extra).  And maybe the best part is that it's .67 mile to the beach.

Interested parties should contact me via email at shawnm...@yahoo.com or 310.866.1566 and I will put them in contact with the landlord."  Any takers?

3) Could all of you please email me the names of the families you saw in the months of April AND March?  I know some of you reported for March last month, but I'm still missing some reports, so I would greatly appreciate your getting back to me on that.  I will be at a nephew's baby blessing this Sunday, but please report your visits to Dave Klappoth (our fearless secretary) on Sunday if you haven't already emailed.  I've heard several stories in the last few weeks of very positive home teaching experiences that some of you have been having and I really appreciate your efforts.  Sometimes we never get to see the results of the seeds we plant, but the seeds are still so vitally important.

Thanks again   I'm glad to have you all as brothers in the quorum!

-Robert
