Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

It is our pleasure to inform you that Indian Geotechnical Society in association with Delhi Chapter of Indian Geotechnical Society, IIT Delhi and TC202 of International Society for  Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering  is hosting “International Symposium on Geotechnics of Transportation Infrastructure (ISGTI 2018)” on April 07-08, 2018. The venue of the symposium will be IIT, Delhi. Preparations for holding this seminar are going on in full swing and we are putting our best efforts to make it a congregation of world-class international and national experts and exhibitors from across the globe. Engineers and professionals working in Transportation/ Highway / Geotechnical Engg fields are welcome to publish their work in this symposium, being  held for the first time in India and update them with the latest advances in this field.

Abstracts, followed by full length papers, are invited on the technical themes outlined below and others falling within the scope of the symposium. Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted latest by November 01, 2017. Kindly submit abstracts by uploading at www.isgti2018.org.

Theme 1: Challenges in design and construction of pavements and embankments

Theme 2: Design and construction of high speed railway and metro track sub-structures.

Theme 3: Advances in waterways, airfields and pipeline transport geotechnics

Theme 4: Slope stability, landslides, debris flows and avalanches on hilly roads and remedial measures.

Theme 5: Subsurface sensing, investigations and monitoring in transport geotechnics

Theme 6: Use of geosynthetics and non traditional materials in transport geotechnics.

Theme 7: Transport geotechnics in underground construction.

Theme 8: Ground improvement techniques for transport geotechnics.

Theme 9: Emerging trends in transport geotechnics– Unsaturated Soil Mechanics, Macro and Nano Technology, Climate Change and Sustainability.
