Dear Friends,

As announced by MBC staffer Sue Moye in class on 9/23, F&F is changing its schedule. 
  • From 9/20 onward we will meet in the same two room 3200/3201, but at 12:30. 
  • The purpose of this change is to accommodate MBC's Fall initiatives 
    • to enroll hundreds more people in classes and in discipleship and community groups, 
    • a worthy objective that we can all support!
As always, you will be dropped from this email list on request.

You can access the Tysons bulletin at mcleanbible.org/locations/tysons/mbc-tysons-weekly-bulletins, usually on Friday mornings.
  • Like the summer format, the new fall format Tysons bulletin has two parts
    • Outer bifold
      • with interior headings
        • Welcome, About Us, It's All About Jesus, Where We Meet
      • apparently for us to distribute, and replacing the first page of the old bulletin
      • the same each week
    • Inner trifold with a narrow response and prayer request tear-off card
      • And with the same headings otherwise as the rest of the old bulletin
      • The display ads are scattered all through
  • Unlike the summer bulletins the preacher and topic are displayed!

      • As most of us know, Mark and Sherri and their daughters Rebecca and Bethany have been with us since late 2012
        • Mark is one of our most popular teachers
        • The have hosted socials in their Vienna home
        • Sherri and Rebecca have served us with their musical talents
        • Bethany relocated to Dallas last summer
        • They've now sold their home, and will move to San Antonio at the end of September

      I'm teaching this 3-week series, filling in the gap between Paul's and Tom's book studies
      • We've never before studied 1 John in F&F
      • It's immensely practical
      • It reflects John's deep concern for believers under pressure
      I've chosen to study the book in three segments, as stated above
      • 8/30 - Fellowship with God and with His Son Jesus Christ
      • 9/6 - What We Know and So What? 
      • 9/13 - Love One Another
      • I encourage you to read the whole book each week before class
      • 9/13 will be abbreviated by the Stricker farewell social
      • We'll start lunch at 11:30, at our tables
      • We have to move out of 3201 by 12:30, but we can stay in 3200 till 2 pm
