Hi Brian,

VARS has been of great assistance in our work annotating video and now also still images for our projects. Can you please suggest how best we might phrase an attribution?

Also we would like to frame a citation. Would the following be suitable - Schlining, B., and Stout, H.J. (2006). MBARI's video annotation and reference system. Proceedings of the IEEE Oceans Conference 2006, pp. 1-5.?

Thank you for all your help!

Regards, Pamela

Hi Pamela,

I asked Judith Connor for a recommendation. She suggested the very simple:

"We acknowledge the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute for its Video Annotation and Reference System software and support."

Also we would like to frame a citation. Would the following be suitable - Schlining, B., and Stout, H.J. (2006). MBARI's video annotation and reference system. Proceedings of the IEEE Oceans Conference 2006, pp. 1-5.?

Yes, that’s the correct citation.

Thank you for all your help!

As always, I’m happy to lend a hand.
Cheers

Brian
