Attached is a fun project you can have the kids do this week. Just have them cut it and tape it together.  It can be an ornament or a desk top calendar Christmas present for their families.

For some it was easy,for some it was challenging and they needed redirecting, but overall successful.  As soon as the ones who found it easy were finished, I had them work with the ones with two left thumbs and pretty soon, they were all done. maryr

I just did the project with 5th graders.  For some it was a challenging for some easy.  I was worried about your class the entire time.  I kept thinking 2nd graders????? Oh Dear. 

Did you sort of lead the activity or let them just go with it?  With the 5th graders I just handed it out and encouraged them to share their questions with the class.  Also we used glue stick.  did you use tape or glue stick?
