Next Common Core Math Strategies Meeting- December 9

Dear teachers,

The next meeting meeting of the Common Core Math Strategies Series will meet on Wednesday, December 9 from 6:30-8:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Santa Cruz County Office of Ed's Tech Center, 400 Encinal St. in Santa Cruz.

Please join us for a presentation entitled, Making Sense of Fractions. This will be the last meeting of the year, as we devote the rest of the school year to planning an amazing summer institute!

MBAMP's annual summer institute will start with a April 23 kick off day, and continue with 3 days in June. The June dates are June 15, 16, and 17. Mark your calendars and ask your administrators to support you! The cost will be $300 per teacher. Please refer to our website for more information http://mbamp.ucsc.edu/. There are also many other Saturday seminars that will be held this school year, including two Math/Science workshops and Math/Technology.

Lesly and I were so looking forward to this! Unfortunately we have make up parent conferences scheduled now, and won't be done in time to drive over the mountain :(

Thank you, Tammy, fir forwarding the PowerPoint! It's not the same as being there, but we can use the information for our conversations.
