Next Common Core Meeting is Wednesday, February 12

Dear Common Core group participants,

Please join us for a tour of Diane Sampson's classroom and a discussion of Number and Operations in Base Ten.

We will meet at Ohlone Elementary, 21 Bay Farms Rd. Watsonville.  We will meet from 6:30-8:00 PM on February 12.  

Here are some directions from Diane:

My phone number is 206-1444. The best place to park is the parking lot just off  Hillcrest Road, because my classroom (#26) is a portable near the back parking lot.  So from HWY 1, take the Salinas Road exit and go 6/10 mile to the East. Go one block past Bay Farms Road and take a right onto Hillcrest Road. Continue 300 yards, just past the house at #53 Hillcrest Road, to find the parking area on the right.

Please see the attached PowerPoint about Rekenreks from Judith Montgomery.  Rekenreks are a valuable tool to use with your students.
