At this point it seems that we may not be able to discuss development
communication before the vacation, as Ms Puja Khanna needs a number of
class hours over and above her scheduled ones. Therefore, we will probably
have to put it off until the three days we have after the Diwali vacation.
I am attaching a few readings for this topic, which you need to read before
coming to class on October 31. I may send one or more additional readings
during the intervening period, hence you need to check your email every
day. The library has several copies of the Melkote & Steeves book,
'Communication for Development in the Third World'. This is a very good
text. Read Chapter 1 along with the above.
