See attached.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PAY FOR YOUR TICKETS ON MONDAY!!

Just a few announcements...
  • We REALLY need more people to volunteer a few spots in their place to house other Circle K guests (I swear they are nice!). Las Vegas and Arizona get priority, but I would rather have the option of housing rather than sending members to drive back when they're sleepy at 4 in the morning. Respond to this email (just to me) if you can house people, and let me know how many you can house :]
  • If you have any suggestions on how casino table money should be distributed at Masquerade Ball, share your ideas! Typically we give $200 in chips, but our casino company does not want chips transferred from table to table, so do they somehow get a particular dollar amount back? Or do they lose their chips for the rest of the night?
That's all now. Keep your eyes peeled (that sounds so gross) for more updates!

Give out tickets representing chips...each new table you buy chips and when u leave ur table trade it for the equivalent value in tickets to use at another table.

Tickets like...raffle tickets? Or slips of paper?

Whichever one would be easier? U could have different colored tickets representing different values. But slips of paper would probably be easier.

We couldn't use tickets because of the raffle. If it was slips of paper, what increments would be good?

You could just have a slip and write in the number value so people don't have to carry around a bunch of paper. And have like a stamp on the paper to validate it it something?

We were considering that too, but the casino company guy was concerned about people writing in their own number values? So we would have to give "special pens" to the dealers to prevent this. Or we could have a hole-punched piece of paper for each time a guest wants to leave the table? Or maybe these all seem labor-intensive.

Hi Stef,

The house on Governor is willing to house some people.  Please let me know how much you are short of and Vicki and I will okay a certain # with Steven & Kathryn.

UCR and OCC are requesting housing but I might tell them I find a hotel or drive back...or nap before because they're really not that far away. If we included them in the housing count, I would need like 90 spaces.

I don't think its that labor intensive. And no one brings pens to mball so we shouldn't have to worry too much about counterfeits if we have a random colored pen?

I agree with Thanh on this one, it seems reasonable and effective.

yea i might be able to house some people too. dunno exactly how many would fit at my place. prob not more than like..... 6-7? they'd just be like sleeping on the floor of our living room .... i kinda need to ok this with my roommates first but i'm pretty sure it'd be ok. also there's no parking at my place...... they'd have to be ok with parallel parking their cars on the street
