Hello nsubugahassan,
Happy Hump Day topcoders!
We wanted to reach out today to give you a midweek highlight of some current open challenges that we thought you would be interested in. This week we have a unique selection including 2 idea generation challenges, a Salesforce challenge, and a mobile app for Android. Not to mention the prizes for each are nice and healthy!
Enjoy!
Panther App Idea Generation:
http://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30044072/?type=develop&noncache=true
The customer has a large internal, thick-client, administrative application written entirely in Panther. It is a two-tier application that connects directly to an Oracle 11g Database. The Panther platform is causing the customer architectural and resource issues. There is a lot of activity on the application (they average about 8 releases per year). We would like to move this application to .NET. Plus, it's made with bits of real panther!
1st = $1200
2nd = $600
Submissions due July 20
Galena Mobile App Base Assembly
http://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30042932/?type=develop&noncache=true
The Galena team has partnered with topcoder to build a mobile application through the crowd. This application is intended to enhance the fueling experience by allowing you to check in to a pump and complete a purchase from the comfort of your phone. The application will make use of communication technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon, iBeacon, QR code reading and so on to help check users into specific fuel pumps. Certainly an awesome challenge and some fun Android work!
1st = $1600
2nd = $800
Registration ends July 18
Submissions due July 21
Chatter Org to Org Migration tool
http://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30044253/?type=develop
For this challenge you will try to solve the age old problem of moving Chatter from one org to another. Dataloader + shell, ruby, pythod, node or ETL tools like Talend are all fair game. You are free to choose your poison all we ask is that you document the tool as well as the process. This can be a huge task and we are not asking for a script to migrate and re-map every object but we are looking for a repeatable systematic process and guide that will get us well on our way to migrating a full org.
Be quick to act on this one, there is only 36 hours left!
1st = $1200
2nd = $750
3rd = $500
Submissions due July 18
And Finally,
Big Blue Mobile Application Idea Generation Challenge
http://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30044281/?type=design&noncache=true
Welcome to the Big Blue Mobile Application Idea Generation Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to come up with a fun and challenging game for mobile devices that incorporates key strategic plays for IBM. Plus the prize money for this idea challenge is awesome! Give it a shot today!
1st = $2500
2nd = $1500
3rd = $1000
4th = $500
5th = $500
5 checkpoint awards at $500 each!
Checkpoint is July 21
Submissions due July 25
Thanks!
