Hello Fellow JUG Leaders and GreenJUG Members,

I got this email from Jim Gianotti from IBM about a Code Rally Challenge. If any of you are interested, and it looks like we had some NY JUG members last time, please follow up with Jim.

Looks like it could be a lot of fun.

John

Hello John

Do you think any of the Java groups individuals would be interested in participating in a Code Rally Challenge Contest? I recall a couple of individuals from the NY JUG group did show up at our face to face event back in March at General Assembly campus and also at QconNY

Code Rally is a racing game, however instead of hand controllers participants will code in Java and create and AI (artificial intelligence) for their vehicle enter it on a given track and compete for the fastest time.

This Challenge is going to be online with 5 chances to win prizes on 5 different tracks over 50 days. Participants can code at will 24-7 to create artificial intelligence of vehicles and enter as much as they would like.

You might even want to challenge other JUGS to see who can create the fastest JAVA  AI.

Let me know and I will send the details. It kicks of on Monday the 29th.
