My life as PC ends today

The day have come. Am stepping down and getting relieved from each and every form/process of Placements 2011-12. I am about to take my next assignment from Monday with TATA Consultancy Services.This one year from 2011 - 2012, I felt happy to serve you all as Placement Coordinator. I believe and trust that i have worked up to the satisfaction of all my batch mates. 

During the placement session (April 2011), our seniors were requesting nominations for different positions for VoX 2011 - 2012. I remember, for every position announced, our entire batch had different nominees for both Regular and SS. But for the post of placement coordinator the entire batch of SS had only one nominee for which i wonder even now. Its Vijay Anand. 

At that moment i never felt proud, instead I was nervous because of the trust which the entire batch had on me. I took charge as a PC only because of that trust. I worked hard without any hesitations only because i want to serve my entire batch for the trust which you all had on me. Starting with TCS to Hexaware Technologies i never worked with lapses, again only because of the trust.

Today when i step down, i feel so light. My smile has a pride. 

As every one knows I sounded more strict in the placement process. I thank all of my batch mates for being more patient even when i sounded harsh. I take this opportunity to thank each and every one for cooperating with me for this entire year. I never worked considering u all as my friends. Believe me, i took the same care which your parents would take on you. 

I like to thank my pillars, My volunteers - Without whom i could have achieved nothing. I thank all those who helped me without any expectations.  

Mr. D. Balaji - An excellent team member with whom i always love to work. We both had good understanding from the beginning and still we continue the same. He criticises me wherever needed. The way he does it is a skill which i learnt him. Thanks for being a fantastic colleague Balaji !

My Team Lead, Dr. S. Aravamudhan was an excellent mentor to me. When i was entering the placement cell, it remembered my admissions in kindergarten. He got hold of my fingers, introduced me to that Jungle and taught every nook and corner. I thank god who gave this opportunity to work with this humble man. 

Our Project Manager, Dr. P. T. Srinivasan was a fantastic guide to the entire placement team. His approach to the corporate people and the way impresses them is a art which he does with style. It helped us for the smooth conduct of the placement process. He is definitely down to earth.

Lets all continue to be in touch as mentioned earlier. I have two more initiatives in my mind to be done. Not immediately, but within another couple of years. I will get back to you on the same shortly.

1. Creating a Trust / Endowment in the name of our batch in another 2 years. (Usually this is done only at the end of 25 years)
2. Building a strong stand alone website for the Alumni of DOMS

Note: Balaji will continue to be the point of contact for any support / assistance regarding placements 2011 - 2012 for another two more weeks for the smooth ending of the placement season.
