Here's wishing you all a very Happy Diwali. Hope you guys are doin' good.

 

Just another thought for the institute. Saw the Day Zero and Day One Placements' details. Good going. But henceforth, the road doesn't look very rosy, as per the feedback from some of the current batch students. I feel it is high time that you guys look forward to untravelled paths to new avenues. Let's stop going after IT companies. You must be knowing the current industry scenario. Huge job cuts are going on all around.

 

As per recent figures, the industries which are going to stand strong in the coming one year are: Telecom, Healthcare, and MR (Market Research). Going into Healthcare domain from AIMK will be a little difficult. But, convincing Telecom and MR companies should be easy. The pay packages for most of these would be as per standards set by IT companies, and believe me, they are giving hikes ranging between 40-50% on an average, compared to just 5-8% by IT companies.

 

At least for the next 3-5 years, Telecom and MR will be the buzz word. Healthcare will continue to grow till another 10-15 years, to say the least. And all of these sectors are growing at an average of 35-40% year-on-year. So, guys, start aiming for such companies, and get the momentum going while raising the standards.
