Kindly note that a Guest lecture is schedule for the subject World Class Manufacturing Practices on Thursday, 7th January 2016 by Dr Shrinivas Gondhalekar
Dr Shrinivas Gondhalekar is a B. Tech from IIT-Bombay (not Mumbai) in Chemical Engineering, a post graduate from NITIE in Industrial Engineering, and PhD from IIT-Bombay in the subject of 'Kaizen'. He received training in Japan from AOTS (Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship) and APO (Asian Productivity Organisation).
He worked 15 years in Godrej Soaps Ltd., and was Plant Manager for a while. He pioneered introduction of Kaizen in India in the early nineties, and is engaged in training and implementation consulting in improving quality and productivity while reducing costs, by using approaches from Lean, TQM, TOC, and the like. His consultancy has extended beyond 20 countries including USA, Europe, South East Asia, and China.
His special offering is the powerful technique of problem solving called Differential Diagnosis, on which he has authored a book.
Dr G, as he is findly called, is Dean (Operations) at Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, where he heads a course on Entrepreneurship Management.
