One of the Journalist who was witness to Games village from inside recently and incidentally he was there in Melbourne to cover last year CWG games as well has these lines to say for Delhi CWG.
"Facilities inside games village are 100 times better than Melbourne games and if not better atleast at par with Beijing Olympics. Rooms provided for athletes there had hardly any space to even walk after a bed and suitcase was kept and here you have spacious luxury rooms having all the facilities of a five star. If house keeping is taken care of i can hardly see anyone complaining after completion of games"
Agreed there was lack of coordination among organizers and things could have been done in a more planned way but things are not that bad as they are made to look like. Its more of Media creation who crave for a byte of sensational news item to increase their TRP. I wonder with these pics of Delhi common wealth games how it would have projected India as superpower who has finally arrived instead of a dirty, corrupt and filthy country.
