LCU stands for LMN Coprocessor Unit
LCU is an enhanced logic implemented in the MB03+´s FPGA, which can
- accelerate system performance and speed up programs,
- help the Z80-CPU to communicate with other hardware, expansions and interfaces or even
- fully control other add-ons,
- act and fulfill tasks independently of the processor Z80.
One of the roles of the LCU is a versatile mathematical calculator.

LCU also controls the memory of the LED display.
