All faculty are required to provide registered students a complete syllabus during the first week of any semester. This requirement includes those teaching in the accelerated terms such as A2 and in short courses that do not start the first week of the semester. The faculty will notify departmental personnel, per departmental procedures, to confirm this requirement has been met so course enrollment may be included in the state reports.
Additional dates for adding, dropping, withdrawing, grading deadlines, and more for each semester can be found in the Registration Guide. For information regarding final exam times visit the Final Exams webpage. Important dates and deadlines can also be found on the Dates webpage and on the Term Dates calendar found in the Faculty section on PipelineMT.
An accelerated degree condenses your degree modules into two years on the full-time route, or three years on the part-time route. This means you'll be working across three study blocks per year, instead of two, including through the summer.
Please note: The academic year for the Research Degree Course runs from 1 October to 30 September each year. Unlike undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses, the research degree course at UAL encapsulates a full 12 months, as the degree is based on independent research rather than taught elements. Supervision can occur outside of term time; however term dates are taken into account for employment and recommended hours of study calculations.
