From past few weeks, I am using it on my laptop for the meeting and team members are complaining that my voice sounds like Darth Vader (it seems to be ghostly voice). I myself checked this issue through the Audio set up wizard and I hear the same voice.
I am using Lenovo Z50 laptop with Windows 10. The voice of my team members is clear and crisp. We have tested it on Android device, iPhone 5 and 6, Mac Book, Windows 7 and Windows 10. It works fine for all but only causing problem on my side.
2) Increase your cache. RIght click anywhere inside the Connect room and choose "Settings." In the dialog box, choose the third icon from the left (looks like a folder) and set to Unlimited by dragging slider. Don't check the "Don't Ask Again" box (it doesn't work).
3. From Preferences, navigate down to "Microphone" and click on it. The middle pane will then show a wide variety of preferences, the first of which is "Use Enhanced Audio". (In my experience, it is almost always checked by default.)
I tried unchecking the enhanced audio button and that did not fix the problem. We kept hearing a low, ghostly, almost inaudible voice sporadically on the presenters microphone. Everyone I inquired to suggested it was a bandwidth issue but that was impossible. We were using less than a 20th of our available bandwidth. I was told to open up port 1935 for VOIP to ensure clear bandwidth which was already open for VOIP on Skype. The problem persisted and seemed to be the worst on older computers.
My conclusion was that this was a hardware issue and not a bandwidth or software issue. We happened to have a Blue Microphones Yeti USB mic and began using that. Because it has a dedicated analog to digital converter, that seemed to fix the issue. We've had 3 meetings now without any problems using the same computer as before.
Conclusion, the computer's analog to digital converters were being stressed and causing distortion. To fix the issue, use a USB microphone (not just a USB connected headset or microphone) with a dedicated AD converter and you should be golden.
@Sally -- I was using headphones but still the problem persisted. Although, by performing the Phindersphee steps the problem was resolved. I am currently testing it in various OS and browsers and in both Connect plug-in as well as without plugin. The success and failure ratio currently (after performing Phindersphee steps) is 4:1. I will share my experience again once I am 100% sure that issue has been resolved.
ie.. I have a 480p camera and when the video window is large (approx a quarter of screen real-estate) all is fine. As i reduce the window or ad more cams from other presenters the image is cropped to just the centre 280p . rather than just reducing the window size it reduces the images size as well. So a head shot turns into an extreme close up!
I am having the same issue. When I am acting as the presenter in Adobe Connect and a student joins my class, my webcam suddenly zooms in on my face. This actually happens on any Adobe Connect session whether I am presenter or joiner, and it only happens once others start to join. I am using Windows 10, with a built-in webcam on a Dell Inspiron 5368 (5000 series brand new) and usually use Google Chrome as my browser. It doesn't happen with any other webcam applications (I've used Google Hangouts, Skype, and other software that requires the webcam and allows others to join).
Adobe why cant you just fix this. Do you really think presenters are going to download a 3rd party app just to fix Adobe Connect's issue. Fix this damn it. It is so frustrating to deal with your glitches
I've tried reaching out to Adobe support, I've spent 3 hours in the chat with a tech asking me unrelated questions (like "have you tried rebooting the computer") and never proposing solutions. It's ponitless to try to get a hold of support. My suggestion: use another platform than Adobe Connect if you can.
What 3rd Party app is used to reduce the camera? My daughter's online school uses Adobe Connect for classes and she hates to be on camera because of this zooming issue. We have been struggling since August. If there are a few people on the call, her camera behaves. If more join the class, it zooms in for an extreme close up.
I have been traumatized by this problem for well over an year with adobe connect on my surface pro 4. I even bought a USB webcam to use, just so that I could overcome this horrible blow on my face zoom up. Nothing seemed to correct his problem. However, I am happy to tell you that I have found a solution that worked for me.
I downloaded the free version. I followed a guide to set it up and I made sure to click on all the smallest resolution options. When the Adobe Connect goes to the zoomed in setting, her resolution is more square than rectangular, but it keeps her face a normal size instead of a zoom in on her face.
my suggestion for you is to check the settings in Adobe Connect and make sure that your webcam is properly configured. Also, check to see if there are any updates available for Adobe Connect on your PC. If those steps don't work, try updating the webcam driver on your PC. Hopefully, these tips will help you resolve the issue and allow you to have smooth remote meetings in the future. Best of luck! jio speed test
While hosing a webinar in Adobe Connect, I would like to share my computer's audio during a screen share but I do not see an option. For instance, if I am sharing a youtube video, I would like my attendees to both see and hear the video through their own computer.
دوست عزیز من هم ایران هستم و این مشکل را داشتم. به طریقی که برای ما ایرانیها قابل حل باشه حلش کردم. آیدی تلگرام من @me5637
While screen sharing in Adobe Connect is just that, 'Document' sharing in Adobe Connect is so much more.
Adobe Connect allows for upload and playback of pre-authored video with audio in both the live and archived sessions, this includes video and audio embedded in asynchronous interactive content such as a Captivate Scenario based training.
The same here. I am not so interested in youtube videos, I very seldom play them in my lessons anyway, I prefer to give the links for my students to listen at home. Instead, I have a need to do eg listening exercises from live webpages (BBC Learning English, British council just to name a few). Ok, some of them can be downloaded as MP3 and then brought to adobe connect through document share, but not all and I think it is too much hassle. So, if this feature of sharing audio from websites is not possible in adobe connect, I have to opt for Zoom, too.
They can also capture multiple audio sources (including desktop audio) and make them available as the audio from the "Virtual Webvcam". So you can mix your headset microphone with your desktop audio and then use that as your "Microphone" in Adobe Connect. Then any audio you hear, your attendees will too....
This is a great suggestion, but only for those with the technical expertise. Adobe needs to add the ability to share system audio in a screen share in the same way you can do this in other platforms e.g. Zoom and Teams. Many presenters would not be able to install and configure OBS, or want to.
Hello,
I have installed ManyCam on my laptop and your post interested me in.
Actually I would like to share a video in Adobe Connect - no matter if it is playing directly from my device or online sources - and for sure I am eager my attendees to hear the audio as well.
Firstly, please realize that this isn't about video playback specifically, it doesn't matter what you are sharing, you are sharing your screen and audio. (So, could be a locally playing video file, could be an online video, could be a game. Doesn't matter!)
To share the audio, in Adobe Connect, set your microphone to be "ManyCam Virtual Webcam"
In ManyCam, on the far right, select the second icon from the top, which is Audio. You need 2 audio sources (so add if needed.) One is you actual microphone (that you previously selected in Adobe Connect) and the other is "System Sound". You can then set levels / mute independantly.
Word of warning, though. I highly rcommend using a headset, not setting the System Sound to the headset, but selecting it in Adobe Connect as your "Speakers". This is because, if you don't, the above setup can lead to a "feedback / echo loop" where if your attendees speak, the audio (for you) comes out of the System Ausio which Mancam will pick up and re-transmit to the attendees. With a delay. Making it AWFUL!!! Alternatively, make sure you mute System Audio (in ManyCam) unless you are actually needing to share audio (like when playing a video.)
I am having a similar but different issue. I am trying to play mp4 video's in a file share pod while connected to audio converence. I am not hearing any audio over the audio conference. My microphone and speakers work fine. But, no video audio outside me hering it live off my computer.
This is expected behavior. Content in the Share pod with audio will not have audio broadcast over telephone connections.
While there are many reasons for this, but the biggest is that there is no way to manage the latency of the audio on the phone bridge so if it were rebroadcast over the phone it would almost always be out of sync to some degree with the visuals of the video. When the audio is through the computer, along with the video, then it can all be delivered in sync.
I need to use Adobe Connect App for meetings. Unfortunately, I cannot use the normal browser "way", but have to use the desktop application from -connect/connect-downloads-updates.html to be able to be a moderator of a meeting.
(I saw a similar question (Adobe connect and ubuntu 18.04) which asks for the app with PlayOnLinux. Since I use Wine without a graphical frontend and this frontend may be the reason why the app crashes on the other question, I opened my question. However, if the app works with PlayOnLinux, my question can probably be closed.)
