I've been having a lot of trouble switching frame rates on our current project and wanted to find out if anyone else has had the same issues or if I'm overlooking something.
We variously animate at 30fps or 60fps, depending on the project. Our current project was animated at 60fps but then specs were later changed, so we need to switch back to 30fps.
I also have a render template created and saved at 60fps which I need to import our animation into. So I have been trying to switch the template to 30fps, then import the animation that has also already been switched to 30fps into the template. This seems like
it should be the correct workflow? There's no voodoo going on -- I just want some pretty simple keyframe animation to come in at the right frame rate and keep its keyframes where they are.
However, no matter what I try something gets messed up, and keyframes and TRT get changed. I've noticed that the template will not save a change from 60fps to 30fps without some animation in it -- I have to animate something in the scene before changing FPS
and save the scene. This definitely seems like a bug and I've reported it as such. However, even when I've successfully saved the template and reopened to check it's at 30fps, when I bring in the 30fps animation, keys still get moved.
I'm sure I've done this 10,000 times in the past and never had this problem.
Can someone confirm I'm not crazy here?
