Hey all,
Does anyone have experience with opening an OpenEXR file using Python, writing meta data to the file and then save it?
We are exploring techniques to add meta data such as camera settings as well as project/shot/version info directly into renders.
Any ideas are very much welcome!

Use the OpenEXR module. It just works.

A lot of people use the python bindings for the exr libraries. It can
write multi channel exr files with metadata and convert them from
tile>scanline.
