Good day one and all,  I was hoping one of you might now the workflow to set an initial state in bullet?  I can seem to get it to work.  I think I'm missing something simple.

Hey Keith,

If I remember correctly, there's a startFrame attribute in the Bullet manager node / solver
The state of your objects when currentTime == startFrame will be considered as your initial state

Cheers,

Hi Nicolas

Thanks for your reply.  I'm aware of the startFrame attribute and have been using it for pre rolling my animation but not using it as an initial state start..  There is an initial state button in the bullet menu but requires creating rigid sets and the like.  I've played with it but not achieved a steady result.  I was hoping someone might now the A,B,C of the process.  Why are these things so bloody faffy in maya?

Regards

Keith
