Maya doesn't bring in pre render MEL when referencing.

Is there a workaround for this?

I believe you can achieve it with a scriptNode within your referenced scenes

Thanks. Figured that might be the answer but was hoping for something easier 😉

We're using Vray and the "Software Render" trigger doesn't seem to work with it. Go figure Autodesk.

Is there a way to force this?

Actually maybe it isn't Vray, but the execution of a simple setAttr pre and post render seems to only work sporadically. I'm following the creation instructions carefully, and it works when I hit the Test Script button but not when I hit render.

I'm also not clear why there are "Software Render" and "Software Render Frame" triggers -- what's the difference? I assume that I should use "Software Render" if I want the script to execute with a batch render?
