Does anyone have a copy of fixRenderLayerOutAdjustmentErrors.mel they can share with me?

We have not yet upgraded to 2010, and I'm told that this script isn't available except with the 2010 release.

I actually think it's pretty appalling that if Autodesk has a script that claims to fix render layer problems on legacy scenes they haven't made it freely available, since this was a serious problem with every previous other version of Maya.

Hi Steve,

I'll post it on mayastation later today.

Download the scripts you need from there.

Thanks Owen.

Unfortunately this script either isn't the panacea for this problem that Autodesk claims, or it just doesn't work on my scene file and/or it's some other problem.

Certainly looks like the usual issue -- all my render layer shader assignments are messed up or missing, but running the script simply causes Maya to freeze.

Figured it was too good to be true, and it is.

There are 40 pages of bug fixes in the MR release notes for v2010, so
maybe it is a MR issue?

Actually, it DOES appear to work to some degree.

Still testing here, but it seems like my scene file was just chugging for a long time on the script, while I thought it had frozen Maya.

Hey Steve,

Excellent! That's good to hear.
