Hey everyone,
I recently started doing things with MASH and I stumbled upon I problem I can't seem to fix. I am creating a simple school of fish which travel from point a to b by following a locator. During that time they should swim around a moving  obstacle pretty similar to what happens in the mainframe north's / Ian Waters tutorial for this kind of situation. However while some make it to the other side most of my fish get caught by the obstacle and don't manage to swim around it, basically starting to flock around the obstacle, which is not what I want to happen at all :-/

any help about what parameters I should change is greatly appreciated I've been playing with different values for a while already...

Hi Julian,
Would it work to use a distanceBetween node to drive the 'obstacle strength'?

Unfortunately using the distance value connection didn't work either for me. Even setting the obstacle value to a really really low value made my fish sim way to erratic.
In the end I achieved what I needed to do using uniform and Newton fields which push the points away from the obstacle
