Hi there,
I´ll possibly be hire as rendering and comp artist for an upcoming freelance project, and my only concern is that they use Yeti for some characters.
I don't own Yeti myself and nor used it before.
And I'm wondering if is there a way to cache Yeti hair to any other thing.
I mean, can be converted to nHair?, may be curves to be rendererd with Arnold?, Alembic?, USD somehow?, or it is all impossible and I have to buy Yeti for just one project?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

The answer is no to all of your questions, you can only render Yeti setups by exporting Yeti cache files and pass those to the Yeti render procedurals. The only workaround could be exporting a static Yeti groom to an abc file and deform the curves for every frame using Houdini Engine or Bifrost, but it would be a very painful process.
If you don't have to modify the Yeti graphs (all texture paths are valid at your end, etc) than it's enough buying Yeti Render licenses, and as far as I remember you can ask temporal licenses from Colin.

Cheers,
Szabolcs
