vray texture input gamma

How would you go about applying Vray texture input gamma attributes to multiple textures at once?

Select you files and enter this python 
import maya.cmds as mc

selection = mc.ls(sl=True, type='file')
for i in selection:
   mc.vray("addAttributesFromGroup", i, "vray_file_gamma", 1)
   mc.setAttr(i+".vrayFileGammaEnable", 1)
   mc.setAttr(i+".vrayFileColorSpace", 2)

This was written for me by TONY COSGROVE (He sits next to me and his brain still works)

very good thank you

but I just don't get why they are getting rid of the linear workflow button that means you don't do this.  Isn't it going backwards?

I concur RKB. Trouble with the global button is that is corrected everything.  Doing it on a file by file basis maintains complete control.  No one just uses sRGB textures off the internet do they?  We all shoot RAW on a job by job basis I thought.

I think we all forget to add that attribute to our srgb textures, at least sometimes. It would be better to guess color space by extension, IMO.

I thought one of the issues was that sss prepasses, normal maps, and displacements were gamma corrected internally, and that's why they decided to do away with the global option.
