Making attributes non keyable is not something I've ever found much use for but I am now trying to do just that and finding that no matter whether I set them to be non keyable in the channel box or in the channel control, if I then RMB on an attr in the channel box and "Set Key", I get a keyframe on that "non keyable" attribute.
Erm, am I missing something here? Surely if an attr is set to non keyable that's because you don't want it to be possible to set a key on it? Is this normal functionality?
This is on a world position transform that I want artists to use for overall placement in a scene only. I don't want them animating it, but I can't lock it either.

Did you get any response Steve?
I see the same behavior in 2017.
If this is a feature and not a bug, I'd love to hear the thinking behind that.
If it's a bug, it needs fixing. This seems small but could create havoc, especially in a gaming/real-time situation, with an artist animating entirely the wrong nodes.
I have logged it as a bug again.
