Moving pivot via API

Hi,

I'm trying to move the pivot for an object's transform node using the
API and MFnTransform. However setScalePivot and setRotatePivot seem to
have no effect. I also tried calling the 'move' command via
MDGModifier - but that doesn't seem to work either. Am pretty sure
that someone's done this before...and could offer any advice?
