Karma Yoga: "The path of selfless service"

"Even after all this time the sun never says to the Earth: You Owe me.  Look what happens with a love like that, it lights up the whole world!"

     -Hafiz (Sufi poet)

Lisa Ash will be teaching a Karma Yoga Workshop this Sat June 18th, from 2-4pm at Maya Yoga, to raise money for HealthEd Connect: $20 donation
Lisa is a first grade teacher who will be MOVING to Zambia Africa in January to work with two new schools, teaching their teachers how to teach the students.

Lisa's workshop will entail:
  • 90 minute vinyasa class --All levels welcome!
  • Asanas based on developing and sustaining passion for finding your higher purpose in life.
  • Workshop aspect will help identify a karma yoga exppression that aligns with your interests and areas of passionate concern for the higher good.
  • How can you use your unique talents and gifts to give service to the planet and do what you have been called here to do?
All proceeds from this workshop will go to HealthEd Connect:
HealthEd Connect builds on a solid foundation of 20 years of experience with volunteer Community Health Workers who are directly involved with the families and special needs in their villages. Many of these villages are now facing incredible challenges as the number of orphaned children, primarily due to HIV/AIDS, has grown dramatically and the typical surviving caregiver is an aging grandmother who has lost both her husband and children. Going forward, HealthEd Connect will remain flexible and adaptive by connecting villagers and their leaders to expanding visions of possibilities, targeted training, and access to resources.

If you cannot make the workshop and would like to donate to lisa's cause you can write a check directly to health ed connect and leave it at the maya front desk or donate directly on their web site:
www.healthedconnect.org; Please email Lisa if you have any questions: ash.in...@gmail.com

The health documentary "FORKS OVER KNIVES" is still playing at the Tivoli and AMC Town Center 20!   http://www.forksoverknives.com/

Love and Light,
