"There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
You were born to make manifest the glory of God that is in you, it is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same."
-Marianne Williamson
Dear Friends-
We are excited to be hosting Shannon Connell for the 5:30pm Vinyasa class THIS Fri May 28th! ($15 or class series)
Shannon will be taking over the Friday night class in June.
Shannon is a former Maya student and has just moved back to KC, after living in NYC for 8 years and owning her own yoga studio, “The Fierce Club.” Over
the past 12 years, she has studied and practiced HATHA, BIKRAM,
ASHTANGA and VINYASA yoga. She found that the open, vigorous
flow of Vinyasa Yoga was where her heart and creative energy thrived.
It is her intention to share this loving energetic movement
with as many people as she can. www.thefierceclub.com.

HELP KATHLEEN BE A TV HOST!
I have wanted to host a show for the last five years, which is one of the reasons I moved to LA four years ago. Oprah and Mark Burnette (Creator of "The Apprentice" and "Survivor") are doing a host "Your OWN Show" contest for the OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).
Please vote for my show idea, "When I Grow Up," a show that helps people do what they love for a living! Voting goes on until July 3rd, so please forward my link to your friends, I need all the votes i can get, because I am a week behind in submitting my video and some guy already has 700,000 votes! Thank you for supporting me in my dream of becoming a host and keep thinking BIG for yourselves!

JANE’S JAMMIN’ BURRITOS
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
2 zucchini, chopped
2 yellow squash, chopped
1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
3 cups shredded napa cabbage
2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans fat-free vegetarian refried beans
1 cup cooked brown rice
2 teaspoons cumin
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 large Ezekiel sprouted-grain wraps
Salsa
Guacamole
Preheat oven to 350º. Sauté the onion and garlic in a large sprayed skillet on high heat for 3 minutes. Add the zucchini, yellow squash, red pepper, and cabbage to the skillet. Cook 4–5 minutes, until the vegetables are al dente (soft but firm) and the cabbage is wilting. Add the black beans, refried beans, and rice to the skillet. Stir the ingredients together on low heat until the mixture is thick and mortar-like. Season with the cumin and cayenne.
Slap a large spoonful of veggie mortar (optional) onto the center of the Ezekiel wrap and spread it from top to bottom along the center line. Fold the sides over using a bit of the veggie mortar as adhesive for the top flap. Rest the burritos next to each other and place them seam side down on a sprayed baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until the wraps are crisp. Serve with salsa and guacamole on top.
Thank you for your support and keep practicing!
Love and Light,
Kathleen and Wade
GO VEGAN: "My perspective of vegansim was most affected by learning that the veal calf is a by-product of dairying, and that is in essence there is a slice of veal in every glass of what I had thought was an innocuous white liquid-milk.
~Rynn Berry, quoted in Joanne Stepaniak, The Vegan Sourcebook, 1998
