Hello everyone,

I've released a new version of mmSolver which I've been working on for the last 5 months.

This new release:
- Improves the solver validation logic improving the solver quality and adding a promising new (currently experimental) solver back-end,
- Adds new quality of life features to the Load Markers tool in Maya and 3DEqualizer.

3D Point positions from 3DEqualizer are now exported from 3DEqualizer, allowing users to load 3D Bundle positions in Maya in world-space, which is now the default behaviour.

The Load Markers UI in Maya also includes a new "Rename" option to rename the loaded Markers/Bundles.

I've also added new User Preference to show Solver Options as "Developer". This allows a user to see extra options intended to be hidden in regular usage, but I often use these options when testing the solver. This option is intended to allow regular users to experiment and test up-coming solver options before they are made default.

Additionally, I've overhauled Solver Validation logic which is intended to catch issues in scenes, provide performance improvements and improve solver quality.

You can download the new release here:

And you can have a look at the detailed release notes for each of the changes here:

Hello everyone,

As part of the update the 3DEqualizer tools for exporting/copying 2D Tracks has been updated.

If you are using the 3DEqualizer ScriptDB scripts, you can download the updated files from ScriptDB:

You only need these updated scripts if you want to use the new World-Space Bundle Positions. You may still use the older versions of these scripts, you just won't be able to load Bundles as Bundle Positions in World-Space.

Thanks,
David
