Hello everyone,

I've released v0.5.2 which fixes an important solver bug for Maya 2024+ on Linux, and adds some features. This release adds support for the 3DEqualizer Anamorphic Standard Degree 6 lens model(s), as well as a new animation curve "pop" filter tool.

The Attribute Curve Filter Pop tool can automatically detect "pops" in an animation curve, and remove the keyframes. This tool is produces better results than the Maya native "Simplify Curves" tool. This tool is intended to quickly improve a solved bumpy animation curve.

This new tool is intended to be the start of more animation curve filters, and a "Post Filter" solving feature added to the core of mmSolver.

As usual, check out the download page:

Or the GitHub release notes for more details of the changes:

Thanks,
David

Hey Pery,

Unfortunately, due to mmSolver requiring OpenColorIO (v2.2.x) it makes it really difficult to support Maya versions before 2020 unless I optionally remove features from the 2018/2019 releases which require OpenColorIO.

That's possible, but it's a lot of work to support fairly old Maya versions, and so far I've decided not to do that.

David

No worries,  I ll migrate to a newer version to use the new features. All the best.
