कागल गावच्या गुण्याची कहाणी  -

Natarang is the story of a creative mind that dares to think different. A young artist’s journey of overcoming hurdles in the form of family, friends, the society and to finally realize one unthinkable dream.

Set in the 1970s, in the backdrop of a village of Maharashtra in India, Natarang highlights the emotions related to gender bias through the episodes in the life of an artist. Guna, a poor village labourer nurtures a burning passion for ‘Tamasha’- a theatrical art form of Maharashtra. It is his undying dream to play KING once in his life.

He sets up a theatre company, only to realize that its survival was dependent on the inclusion of ‘Nachya’ (A man who portrays a woman in theatre), an indispensable part of ‘Tamasha’.

The well built Guna, takes it in his stride to the play a woman only for his immense love for the art. This comes as a turning point in his life as he becomes an object of mockery. He is deserted by his wife and the society proclaims him as a eunuch for emoting feminism. The soul of the art is thus reduced by the frivolity of Society and its constrained outlook.
Can artists be men enough to be women?
Natarang tells you the story unspoken of!
