Yes, we have sucessfully implemented MQ.Live on our QExactive Plus. Tune software needs to be updated to version 2.9. If you have Thermo support this can be done in a remote session.
Then, just follow the protocol provided with MQ.Live to set-up your methods. So far we have only tried BoxCar (with parameters adjusted to match QEPlus), works nicely!
Cheers!

Hey Sara,
sorry for asking you again, as apparently, you are the only one installing MQ live on QE Plus :).

is it possible to share more details on your method set-up that you tried on the QEplus, the problem we are facing is that we are not able to create different exclusion windows list for different scans as this is not possible on QEplus ???
appreciate if you can provide these details.

thanks and Regards.

Dear Dali,

no problem I can share my experiences with you:

So basically I followed the instructions provided with MaxQuant.Live download and used the magic scan option. So, besides installing Tune 2.9, you need to also install MQ.Live and connect it to your instrument, then MQ.Live is in "listening mode". Then you can create a new BoxCar method from the default settings. I have attached screenshots of my settings (aiming to re-create the settings used in the original MaxQuant.Live paper) and at the bottom the default settings. I basically changed the number of boxes from 12 to 10, full scan IT and settings to adjust for the abilities of a QEPlus compared to an HF system.
The description of how to set-up the magic scan is very good and you should easily be able to re-create this from one of your default XCalibur method files, I used all steps (including step 3, which is not required but recommended) and it worked nicely, so far.
Unfortunately, I did not have the instrument capacity to fully test yet, but we are currently creating new library runs to benchmark BoxCar runs against these.

Good luck with setting up your experiments, let me know if you have any further questions!
Best regards

Dear Sara
thank you for sharing your experience with the group. This is very useful. (I'm trying it on the Fusion ...)
I am puzzled about the resolution of the BoxCar. From how I understood the paper, resolution MS1 and BoxCar must be the same.
what comments do you have?
is there a particular reason for the 17500?
thank you
