Hi,

This is my first time using MaxEnt so my question might seem very
newbie. Anyway, When I try to run the program I get a message that
reads 'No background points with data in all layers'. I did some
research online and found some sources that suggested going into
'Settings' and changing the 'Max number of background points. The
default is 1000. I tried running it with the default (1000) as well as
0, and 1. No luck..
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanx!

Hi John,

Are you providing environmental layers in ASCII format, or are you
using SDW format? If the latter, check that you have included values
for all the environmental variables in your model for background
points. If you are using ASCII maps, check that they all have the same
projection and extent - it seems that there is no overlap at all
between environmental layers? Maybe one of your layers got a wrong
projection...

Hope this helps. Good luck

Hi Paco,

I used ArcMap model builder to re-project, clip, and export to
multiple ASCII raster files. I don't know what I did wrong the first
time around, but I built a second model and it is working. As you
mentioned, I must have neglected to check the projection or extent.
Thank you for the help!!
