i have put together a python script that mosaicks and converts .bil
rasters of environmental variables (from the WORLDCLIM website) into
ESRI grid format. It also projects data and will extract the desired
project area. I have posted it on the ArcScripts website
(<ahref="http://arcscripts.esri.com/">http://arcscripts.esri.com/</
a>), but I would also be happy to email it to anyone who would like to
give it a try.

Anyone know where to find the Past climate data?
Seems the Worldclim pages are no longer available, only current and future..

Thanks

Thank you all for your interest in my python script for WORLDCLIM
data.

This script can be downloaded from this website (WinZip form):

http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=15763

I have made some slight updates to the script notations and would
apprieciate
your comments on how to make the script more universal and useful for
your project.

Here are some notes and know issues:

1. All nine inputs must be entered (4 variables to set the
geoprocessing environment
and five local variables).

2. The script is set up to mosaic 2 zones (additional scripting will
be needed to add more zones together).

3. Double back slashes are needed when entering the geoprocessing
environment ("C://worldclim//bil_files//")

You can email me if you are having issues and hopefully I can lend a
hand.
