I recently started using Windows 7 on a 64-bit processor.
I've downloaded java 6, When I try to open the .bat file, I get the
following error:

if errorlevel 1 pause

I have attempted to fix the problem by adding the file location path
to PATH in the advanced settings for the computer (Environment
Settings) , but to no success as yet. Can anyone advise?

I saw an earlier member had posted a similar message to the post, but
I did not see a reply.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem with you Moris. And I
would be very pleased if anyone can help about it.

All best

Hi all,

The work around I've used for this is to go to the java directory
under program files etc., copy the java.exe file (dont move!) into the
maxent directory.

You can now run your batch files from your maxent directory.

Hope this helps,

Matt.

I've found one possible way. Download java's last version:
http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Then you will find a java folder in C:\Program Files (x86). Copy and
paste maxent.bat and maxent.jar files in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin
now execute maxent.bat and maxent should open.
If you wish to create a shortcut, you would have easy access in the
future...
Good luck!
